Overview

One of the winter most popular travel routes in Mongolia is Central Mongolia. It has such as beautiful natural formation, unique nomadic culture, huge history and very hospitable people. They have kept their traditions for many centuries generation to generation. In central Mongolia you wll visit Kharakhorum, Khugnu Tarna natral reserve, Terelj national park. Also you can enjoy one of the hottest springs in Mongolia.

Itinerary

Day 1Semi Gobi

Semi Gobi /Khugnu Tarna natural reserve/ covers 46,990 hectares of land and located in Rashaant soum of Bulgan province. The park is a splendid mountain and situated at the border of three provinces. In the natural reserve, there are extraordinary sand dunes about 80 kilometers. The scenery is spectacular combination of desert, picturesque mountain, river and green grassland.

Day 2Kharakhorum (The ancient capital of Great Mongol Empire)

Karakorum was one of the most important cities in the history of the Silk Road. Although founded by Genghis Khan in 1220, Karakorum’s development as capital of the Mongol Empire occurred in the 1230s under his son Ugudei. The Mongols had a profound impact on the history of trade across Central Asia, as their vast empire connected east and west. We will explore the highlights of the city and visit Erdene-Zuu monastery.

Day 3Tsenkher Hot Spa

The 86℃ hot spring water is supposed to have curative properties for arthritic joints and other ailments. Also spring is kept in high pressure under the ground flow rate is high, 10 litres per second. The water has mineral content and containing everything from simple calcium, sodium to sulphuric. The hot spring helps you to keep your skin softly and naturally. During the daytime you can have sunbath and when it gets dark you can enjoy the starts while you are sitting in the hot spring.

Day 4Khustai National Park

Hustai National Park is one of the well known and prestigious special protected areas in Mongolia. Hustai Center is operating to conserve ecosystems, biodiversity of the park and historical stone monuments, build up takhi population in the wildlife, organize national and international workshop and meetings, in other part, to develop eco tourism. As the successful implementation of the project today there are over 363 takhi in the park and we will see them. After we have seen them we will head to Ulaanbaatar.

Day 5Terelj national Park

Terelj is one of the most touristic attractions around Ulaanbaatar city. It has been the strictly protected area since 1965. It’s connected with Ulaanbaatar by a paved road. The park wildlife includes brown bears, grey wolves, foxes and over two hundred species of birds. Also the Tuul river flows through the national park. The Gorkhi-Terelj National park has many rock formations for rock climbers. We will explore Turtle rock, hike to Ariyapala monastery and discover Chinggis Khaan statue

Day 6Chinggis Khaan Statue & Back to Ulaanbaatar

The Chinggis Khan Statue is 40-metre (130 ft) tall statue of Chinggis Khan on horseback, on the back of the Tuul river at TSONJIN BOLDOG. The statue is symbolically pointed east towards his birthplace.
