Live in a fairytale… Herd your reindeers in the deep Taiga forest.
“Break the habit of being yourself – discover yourself as a Mongolian nomad.
Have you ever thought about who you would have been if you were born in a different country? Give yourself a chance to become a Mongolian nomad – live in harmony with nature and learn the treasures handed down from the Mongol Empire to today’s nomads. It is a rewarding experience that grows richer over time as it becomes etched in memory.”
“After resting from your flight, explore the city with your guide. It’s a city where ancient tradition and urbanization coexist. Visit the serene Buddhist temple located in the middle of the so-called Mongolian ‘Wall Street.’ Reach the highest point in UB to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. In the evening, board the train to enter a different world – the world of nomads!”
“Can you imagine building your own home to stay in while traveling? A fully operational one that’s been used by nomads for thousands of years? And even more amazing, within 2-3 hours… This is why nomads can move at least 4 times a year. No worries, locals will help you to build your home.
Also, you will be given traditional Mongolian clothing during your stay.
Built your home, wore your clothes…
Your life as a nomad begins today!
“Can you imagine someone drawing something on a stone that hasn’t been erased even after 5000 years? These are Bronze Age people. Take a chance to discover mystical deer stones from the Bronze Age and travel back in time. Deer stones were the first monuments crafted by humans. They are located near Moron, the capital of one of Mongolia’s provinces. Wander around the small village, visit a Buddhist monastery, and stroll through the streets.”
“Before visiting the Reindeer people, you will stay with a Mongolian Khalkh family. The Taiga region is not accessible by car, so you’ll need to borrow a horse from the Mongolian Khalkh family. With this experience, you have an incredible opportunity to explore two different nomads:
This is a day you will meet reindeer people. Are they people stuck in the past or a God-given gift that serves as a reminder of nature&human connection? You’ll find the answer after this journey. As you reach, you will be invited by locals and build your own teepee (place to stay) with the help of Reindeer people. You’ll be given traditional clothes to wear during your stay.
“Live in a fairytale… Wake up a little earlier to herd your reindeer in the deep Taiga forest. Most of the time, this experience reminds people of a fairy tale or a scene from a movie. When you return by midday, spend the afternoon milking and playing with the reindeer.
The Reindeer people’s experience is not complete without a shaman. After having dinner with reindeer meat, you are given the chance to meet a SHAMAN. Shamans are the ones who connect to the otherworld, have the power to heal the sick, communicate with spirits, and escort the souls of the dead to the afterlife.
A completely different world awaits you…”
“Start your day with breakfast with the Reindeer people. Enjoy a slow, leisurely morning. Take your time to say goodbye to your Reindeer family.
The heavenly grass scent, nature-made aesthetic color combination, and swaying trees in the wind are what you will witness during horseback riding in the forest. Freedom, lightness, and indescribable joy are what you will feel when riding through a wide valley. On this day, you will have a longer ride on horseback. In the evening, you’ll reach the Khalkh nomad family to return your newly made friend—a Mongolian horse.”
“Blue dramatic mountains, an endless steppe, a green valley, and groundwater—untouched and unchanged…
The view from the car window offers free therapy. It’s time to leave the nomad’s family. On this day, you will drive to a 20,000-year-old volcano. Use this opportunity to connect deeply with one of the wildest places on Earth. Keep in mind that your life as a nomad hasn’t finished yet. Have a Mongolian-style camping experience in the evening—tent, bonfire, barbecue… Cooking and eating food outdoors makes it taste infinitely better than the same meal prepared and consumed indoors. Sleep in the middle of nowhere…”
